Vikings win 38-9 over the Firebats of Valencia in the first game of EFL European Football League / Eurobowl Division 3 group play.

The Oslo Vikings scored on their opening three drives of the ball game going up 21 to 0 in the first quarter and rolled to 38-9 win over the Valencia Firebats. The victory gives the Vikings a 1-0 in EFL Group play as they next play host to the Cassidy Jets Coventry on April 26 at Jordal Stadium in Oslo.

European Football League (EFL) er den høyeste ligaen for amerikansk fotball i Europa, og den solide seieren i Valencia har gitt vikingene fra Oslo blod på tann. Lørdag 26. april tar de imot Coventry Cassidy Jets på Jordal i Oslo, og vinner de den kampen venter kvartfinale mot Swarco Tirol Raider fra Innsbrück i mai. Falck Sprauten håper at Oslo Viking tar steget opp og kvalifiserer seg til sluttspillet, en prestasjon klubben ikke har klart tidligere.

Coventry trip

Leaving snow and cold behind we left for Birmingham 06.10 on Saturday morning. Picked up Gary in the darkness and off we went to Birmingham via Copenhagen.

On arrival we were greeted by Adam Etheridge, Coventrys team secretary, and set off for the hotel and after a short break further to the field.

Unfortunately, the Jets had been stiffed out of their original Field and were forced to play the game on their practice field at Warwick University. We were nevertheless looking forward to a great game of football at the highest European level. Greeted by the Coventry coaching staff in a very positive way we were allowed to film the whole game from close up together with the rest of the press. Big up for that!
